The Trilogy Orgasm Kegel Balls Review
Many women read “50 Shades of Grey” and were intrigued by the Ben Wa Balls.
“He holds out his hand, and in his palm are two round, shiny, silver balls, linked with a thick black thread” – Quote from Fifty Shades of Grey
My wife was, she said reading about Anastasia’s experience wearing the balls turned her on and she’d like to try them. As our own sexual adventure has progressed, I was able to obtain The Trilogy Orgasm Kegel Balls for her to review.
Ben Wa – What?
While these balls have been brought to the mainstream over the last several years, they have actually been around for centuries. Ben Wa balls, also known as Kegel balls, Smart balls, Geisha Balls, and several other names have used since 500 A.D. in Japan. These balls were originally single weighted metal balls that were inserted into the vagina to strengthen a woman’s vaginal and pelvic muscles. As strength progressed, additional balls could be inserted to gain more strength. As the balls have changed over the years, strings have been added to keep them from getting lost (yikes!) and materials have changed. As always, I recommend a solid non porous material for safety and please follow proper cleaning instructions as directed by the manufacturer. There are multiple variations of materials and weights available for beginners all the way to seasoned veterans.
So How Do They Work?
Ben Wa balls were something completely new to us and we were both excited to try. We elected to get The Trilogy set with an elastic string attached. I have read reviews where a beginner tried traditional weighted balls and had trouble removing them. I believe it may add to some of the arousal, but not a risk we were willing to try for our set. The Trilogy appear to be classic shiny metal, but beware, these are plastic with weights inside of each ball. You can hear the weights move if you shake the balls, but not while being used. There is a visible seam on each ball. This did not bother my wife, but I could see it being a problem for some more sensitive women. When inserting the balls, use a small amount of water based lube and insert them much like a tampon. It is then up to her to use her muscles to hold in the balls.
While holding in the balls, the muscles will strengthen, which in turn leads to better control and stronger orgasms. To exercise with this product, it is recommended standing and wearing them around the house for 30 minutes to start. Once you gain experience you can wear them longer and do exercises such as squats.
This was a different type of product to review. It’s something that needs to be used over a longer period of time, much like an exercise program. My wife had no problem fitting to wearing The Trilogy from the start. She started using them after getting home from work and uses them for longer periods of time at home on the weekends. After 3 weeks, she’s exercised with them, walked with them, and shopped with them. She knows they are in there, but the balls have not given her any discomfort or pleasure while using them. Where it makes a difference, after a few weeks of use, is during sex. She does have a feeling of pleasure when I remove them, slowly, one at a time. While having sex I can tell a difference in her clinching on me and her orgasms have been more intense. I have read that couples put them in and out during sex for pleasure, as well as using a vibrator with them in, as she can clinch her muscles around the balls for a more intense orgasm.
Ben Wa Balls are definitely a good way to increase a woman’s strength in her vaginal and pelvic muscles. It’s a tried and true method for centuries! The Trilogy set is a good starter set, or try a set of two. The materials are a little disappointing, especially with the noticeable seam on each ball. It can be arousing for me to know that she is wearing them under her little black dress while on a date, and I know that she will be ready to clinch on me later.
